Our history


GP Desarrollos started operations in 1986 with the development of the first private industrial park in Nuevo Leon - Parque Industrial Monterrey - pioneering the development of industrial parks in Mexico. In 2014 the company sold most of it´s portfolio to the largest real estate trust in Mexico - Fibra Uno - which became an opportunity to redefine the company´s growth strategy for the future.

 

Timeline

  • 1966

    The first chapter of Grupo GP history was written through the vision of Don José María Garza Ponce †.
  • 1986

    GP Desarrollos was founded as the real estate division of Grupo GP.
  • 1986

    Grupo GP develops the first private industrial park in Nuevo Leon: Parque Industrial Monterrey (PIMSA), pioneering the development of industrial parks in Mexico.
  • 2000

    GP Desarrollos starts the Reynosa Industrial Center (RICSA) at the USA-Mexico border.
  • 2005

    A joint venture is signed with the Investment Bank ING – Clarion Partners in order to accelerate the business´ growth.
  • 2008

    GP Desarrollos entered the Retail and Office market by developing Torre OKTO, a world class project designed by the renowned architectural firm Edmonds International.
  • 2009

    Thanks to our effort and social responsibility practices, we were awarded our first CSR certification.
  • 2009

    By adapting and solving unique logistics needs, we were able to complete a distribution center for world renowned Whirpool Corporation.
  • 2014

    GP Desarrollos sets foot in the retail market by developing the Sendero La Fe shopping mall.
  • 2014

    GP Desarrollos sold most of its industrial portfolio to one of the largest and most prestigious real estate trusts in Mexico, Fibra UNO -FUNO-.
  • 2015

    Italian manufacturer Brembo starts operations at GP Escobedo Industrial Park in a +300,000 sqft industrial building, designed and built by GP Desarrollos.
  • 2019

    The company starts its new expansion phase by inaugurating its first industrial park under the concept of Pocket Park (Pocket Park Oriente).
